Diving Coach Michelle Malcolm helped lead a revitalized diving team that earned multiple top three finishes this season. Malcolm also helped lead the Catamounts to three top 15 finishes at the America East Championship one-meter and three-meter diving events. Under Malcolm’s guidance, first year Tannah Proudfoot earned America East All-Conference honors in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events. Proudfoot also represented the Catamounts in the Zone A NCAA Diving Championships becoming the first to do so since 2008. Proudfoot also qualified for the South African Nationals.
Malcolm began her diving career at the age of six in Pointe-Claire, QC, Canada. Her passion for coaching began at 14 years old where she coached athletes of all ages from six to 70 years old and up. Malcolm began the first Masters diving team in Montreal at the Point-Claire Aquatic Center which has become renowned for its quick growth and success.

Most recently after moving to Richmond, Virginia she joined the coaching staff of RVA Dive Team and DiveRVA, which aims to be a catalyst for positive change in the diving community. While in Richmond, she also coached three local high school teams, taking athletes from all three to the VISAA State Championship final, where three athletes received silver and bronze medals.

During her off-season’s Malcolm coaches at the University of Texas’ Longhorns Diving Camp which includes extensive training and education in the sport, alongside other highly skilled coaches and athletes.

She received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University where she also received Personal training Specialist and Active Aging certifications.
