BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore
Brian Wright recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Vermont Catamounts to a 2-0 shutout win over visiting Stony Brook in America East men's soccer action at Virtue Field on Saturday.
Vermont improves to 6-5-1 overall and 1-1 in league play. Stony Brook falls to 3-8-1 on the year and 1-1 in America East.

Bernard Yeboah who one-timed his finish at the near post to give UVM the 1-0 lead.
The Catamounts took the 1-0 lead and a 5-2 edge in shots into halftime.
Wright added his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 62nd minute.
Luke Salmon sent a long diagonal pass to Wright from just past midfield. Wright collected the service, took a few touches and fired a blast in to the near post to push Vermont's advantage to two goals.
The Catamounts held off the Seawovles the rest of the way to earn the win.
Conor Leland was credited with three saves in the Vermont net, including one from point blank range five minutes into the second half. Leland earned his 20th career win at Vermont and 16th shutout. Tom McMahon finished the day with three saves for Stony Brook.
Vermont continues America East action on Wednesday (Oct. 15) when it travels to UMass Lowell for a 7 p.m. match. The game will be streamed online for free via
