Polls: USCHO | USA Today/USA Hockey | UConn HighlightsBURLINGTON, Vt. – For the first time this season, the undefeated Vermont men's hockey team (4-0-0, 2-0-0 HEA) is ranked in both Division I national polls. The Catamounts moved up four spots to No. 13 in this week's USCHO.com Poll and are ranked 14th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Poll. Both national polls were updated on Monday.
UVM is coming off a 2-1 home victory over UConn on Saturday night in the first Hockey East matchup between the schools (
CatamounTV Highlights). The Catamounts continue to match their best start since 2005 when the team won its first seven games. Vermont has out-scored its opponents 13-4 through the first four games and has not trailed for a single second this season.
The Cats fly to South Bend, Indiana this weekend for a two-game series against 20th-ranked Notre Dame on Friday (Oct. 31) at 8:05 p.m. and Saturday (Nov. 1) at 7:05 p.m. The Friday game will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network with John Walton and Anson Carter on the call, and both games will be streamed online via
NBC Sports Live Extra (cable subscription required).
