Flyers Story: Immortalized TogetherPHILADELPHIA – Former University of Vermont men's hockey standout John LeClair '91 was inducted into the Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame on Thursday night. LeClair was enshrined along with former teammate Eric Lindros at the Wells Fargo Center.
In 10 seasons with Philadelphia, LeClair skated in 649 career games and averaged nearly a point per game. The St. Albans, Vermont native registered 333 goals and 310 assists for 643 points for the Flyers. The five-time All-Star posted a career-high 97 points in the 1995-96 and 1996-97 campaigns and registered three straight 50-goal seasons.
LeClair, who ranks seventh on the franchise's all-time scoring list, had 116 career points while playing at Vermont from 1987 to 1991. As a freshman, he led the Catamounts to their first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament with 34 points in 31 contests. LeClair closed his UVM career with a career-best 25 goals as a senior in 1990-91.
