SETTING THE SCENEThe Catamounts close a stretch of eight straight games against non-league opponents on Sunday. Vermont has won 10 of its last 14 games dating back to Nov. 7 and is out-scoring its opponents 33-15 during that span. UVM is ranked 11th in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey poll and sits 12th in the USCHO.com poll. Vermont has lost its last two games for its only consecutive defeats of the season.

Rob Darrar had the lone UVM tally in the first period for his first collegiate goal. Alex Lyon stopped 20 shots in net for Yale to earn his seventh victory of the season. It marked just Vermont's second loss in its last nine games.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREENDartmouth tied UNH 2-2 on Friday night and stands at 6-5-3 (3-4-1 ECAC) on the year. Senior Tyler Sikura leads the Big Green with 13 points, and he is tied with three other players for the team-lead in goals with five. Junior James Kruger has started 13 of 14 games in net with a 5-5-3 record, 1.88 goals against average, .929 save percentage, and a pair of shutouts. Bob Gaudet is in his 18th year as the head coach in Hanover and has exactly 250 wins in his tenure.
SERIES HISTORYVermont has the advantage in the series with Dartmouth at 47-23-6 as Sunday marks the 77th all-time meeting. The Catamounts are 4-1-1 in the last six games against the Big Green, with those games being decided by a total of seven goals. Last season, Vermont and Dartmouth played to a 1-1 tie at Gutterson Fieldhouse on Jan. 3, 2014.
