Zach McRoberts grabbed a career-high and game-high 11 rebounds and chipped in eight points off the bench. Brendan Kilpatrick also had his second straight solid game with nine points and six rebounds for the Catamounts.

Willie Rodriguez paced the Bearcats with 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Catamounts could not shake Binghamton in the first half. UVM's lead hovered between five and eight points for 16 minutes. Then with 3:20 left in the half and Vermont leading 27-22, the Catamounts used a 7-2 spurt to close the stanza and opened up a 34-24 lead on the Bearcats as the teams headed to the locker room.

O'Day scored back-to-back layups to open the second half and pushed Vermont's lead to 13. Binghamton climbed back within eight on a 3-pointer by Rodriguez, but that would be as close as the Bearcats would get the rest of the way. A dunk by O'Day, followed by a 3-pointer from Cam Ward pushed UVM's advantage back to 13 and the lead would grow to 19 on a layup by Kilpatrick with 7:17 remaining in the contest.

Vermont cruised the rest of the way to earn its 15th straight America East regular season victory and 11th straight regular season conference home game.

Vermont will be on the road for the next two games. The Catamounts travel to Durham, New Hampshire to face the UNH Wildcats on Thursday (Jan. 22). Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and A.J. Kanell will have the call on ESPN 101.3 FM (online: 1013ESPN.com). The game will also be streamed online for free via AmericaEast.tv.
