Aria Robinson, giving the Catamounts an early 1-0 advantage in the third minute.Â

UML was able to generate nine shots in the opening half and added the equalizer with 4:01 left as Torrie Huk netted her seventh goal of the season, sending the teams into the second half tied at 1-1.

Merely minutes into the second period,
Rachael Picchi dribbled low into the circle and connected a pass to Farmer, who tipped it past Kelsey Federico lifting Vermont over UMass Lowell 2-1.

A Vermont penalty corner with 17 minutes left allowed for Farmer to convert a pass from Tucker into a third Catamount goal and her sixth of the season.

After a River Hawk timeout,
Landon Warren secured Vermont's 4-1 victory over the River Hawks with a high shot into the corner of the net in the 63rd minute.

UVM goalkeeper
Lena Benwood was credited with the win and four saves. The Catamounts improve to 4-12 (2-5) with their second victory over UMass Lowell (5-12, 0-7) this season.

Vermont returns to action Friday, Oct. 30 when it travels to Maine for its final conference matchup at 3 p.m. before its remaining home contest of the season on Sunday, Nov. 1 against Dartmouth. UVM's Senior Day recognition will take place before action is set to begin at 1 p.m. The 2015 conference tournament is set to begin the following weekend.
