New Hampshire's Megan Flatley (5-6, 2-1) wasted no time as she found the back of the net in the first minute of play, for her fifth of the season and a 1-0 early Wildcat advantage. Warren responded in the 28th minute with the equalizer to close the first half tied at one. Warren has six points in her rookie season.
When action resumed the Catamounts played a strong defensive game for the majority of the half, backed by Benwood who registered 14 saves in the second period.
However, UNH's Lindsey Nerbonne netted a pair of goals a minute and a half apart in the 67th and 68th minute to secure the Wildcats two-goal victory. Benwood is credited with 17 total saves.
UVM returns to Moulton Winder Field on Sunday, (Oct. 11) to host the Black Bears of Maine at 1 p.m. All America East games will be streamed live for free at AmericaEast.tv.
FIELD HOCKEY HOSTS WEEKEND CLINICSThe University of Vermont field hockey program and staff will be hosting youth clinics on Saturday (Oct. 10) from 12-3 p.m. and Sunday (Oct. 11) prior to their match vs. Maine beginning at 12 p.m.

Saturday's Junior Prospect Day Clinic will begin promptly at 12 p.m. This event is open to all high schoolers with a $50 fee that can be paid to UVM field hockey. Athletes are required to bring their own stick, shin guards, mouth guards and water bottles for the afternoon.

UVM field hockey will host Maine on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. Prior to this game there will be a free youth clinic on the field for ages 7-13. While athletes are welcome to bring their own gear, the UVM staff will be providing additional sticks and equipment.
