LAST TIME OUTNo. 6 Boston College held off Vermont for a 13-10 victory this past Saturday at Virtue Field to put UVM in the loss column for the first time this season. The Catamounts held a two-goal advantage late in the first half, but the Eagles were able to chip away and take the lead behind a pair of Tess Chandler goals early in the second. Seifert tallied back-to-back goals with just over 20 minutes remaining to tie things up at 8-8, but the Eagles regained the lead minutes later and held on for the win. Neither team led by more than two goals in the contest until the fianl score for Boston College in the last minute of play.
Roach and Seifert paced Vermont on the afternoon with a combined seven goals, while VanderZalm, Bolt and
Alex Bernier tallied one goal each. Hopkins played all 60 minutes in net and stopped eight shots in the tilt.
Chandler and Covie Stanwick scored four times each, and five other Eagles posted a goal apiece to lead Boston College to the win. Zoe Ochoa earned her third win in net with a seven-save performance.
ROACH NEARING MILESTONEAfter tallying four goals last time out against Boston College, Roach now has 99 goals in her Catamount career. With one more score, she would become the sixth player in program history to reach the 100-goal plateau. Only
Sydney Mas (218 career goals), Kristen Millar (140), Vanessa Cox (133), Lyn Jordan (126) and Samantha Stern (103) are ahead of Roach on UVM's all-time goals list.
