BOSTON – Six different Terriers scored as No. 7 Boston U advanced to their eighth straight Hockey East semifinal with a 7-2 win over Vermont Saturday afternoon in game two of the Hockey East quarterfinals from Walter Brown Arena.

The Terriers wasted little time establishing an early lead 68 seconds into the game. Victoria Bach won a puck battle along the boards and skated to the slot and beat Vermont's
Madison Litchfield with a low shot for her 19
th goal of the season.

Just 80 seconds later Marie-Philip Poulin doubled the Terriers lead with a similar play. Sarah Lefort passed back to Poulin at the point and she cut in and beat Litchfield with a shot that was deflected off a body and in.

Boston U added a power play tally late in the first period to take a commanding three-goal lead. Kayla Tutino one-timed a shot right in front as she tied a tournament record with her fifth goal in two games. Bach and Lefort assisted on the goal, which was Tutino's 14
th of the season.

Rebecca Leslie scored on a three-on-two rush 1:17 into the second period to give the Terriers a four-goal lead. Bach passed back to Leslie on the rush and her shot which was partially blocked found the back of the net through a screened Litchfield.

Vermont got on the board 3:45 into the third period.
Rachael Ade drove into the Terriers zone and cut to the net, she was stripped of the puck but Casey Leveille was able to keep it in the slot.
Delia McNally, who was trailing on the play stepped in and fired a shot top corner for her fifth goal of the season.

Samantha Sutherland reestablished the Terriers four-goal lead with 10:06 remaining in regulation. Rebecca Russo fired a shot on net that Litchfield stopped initially but Sutherland was able to tap the rebound home for her seventh goal of the season.

Sutherland struck again with 6:44 left in the game. In transition she made a terrific one-on-one move to get past a Vermont defender and fired a shot past Litchfield to make it 6-1 with her first career multi-goal game.

Vermont got one back on the power play with 4:44 left in regulation.
Taylor Willard passed over along the point to
Amanda Drobot who shot through traffic on net.
Brittany Zuback collected the rebound in front and put in for her 16
th goal of the season.

Shannon Stoneburgh closed out the scoring with a four-on-three power play goal. Shannon Doyle set her up at the top of the slot for a one-timer as Stoneburgh beat Litchfield for her second goal of the season.
The Terriers advance to the Hockey East semifinals next weekend in Hyannis, Mass. Boston U. Boston U will be looking for its fourth consecutive Hockey East tournament title.

Jim Plumer. "We battled to the end and I'm proud of our seniors for everything they've given to our program."
Vermont completes the 2014-15 season with an overall record of 15-19-2. The 15 wins are the second most in program history.
