VERMONT MEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOKThe Catamounts are back in action this week beginning with a contest at Dartmouth on Tuesday (March 24) at 3 p.m. UVM then returns to Burlington for its second league game of the season on Saturday (March 28), as the Catamounts take on Stony Brook at 1:30 p.m. Links to live coverage of the games are available above.

ABOUT VERMONTThe Catamounts collected their third win of the season on Saturday with an 18-10 win over UMass Lowell in Vermont's America East opener. UVM has now won three of its last five games, and has averaged 17.5 goals per game in the last two contests. The Catamounts have four 20-plus point scorers this season, led by
Cam Milligan (39 pts.) and
Ian MacKay (29). Sophomore
Ben Cox has anchored the defense unit for UVM with team-highs in both ground balls and caused turnovers. Fellow sophomore
Jon Kaplan has started each of the last six games in goal, registering double-digit save performances in all but one of those contests. Kaplan currently leads all America East goalies with 13.50 saves per game.

AMERICA EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEKSophomore attackman
Cam Milligan was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday after registering a career-high 10 points on four goals and six assists in Saturday's win at UMass Lowell. His 10 points were the most by a Vermont player in a single game since Jamie Kirk also registered 10 against Quinnipiac back in 2006. Milligan collected his fifth multi-goal game and seventh multi-assist performance of the season following the career day for the sophomore.
LEADING THE ATTACKVermont's trio of top scorers,
Cam Milligan,
Ian MacKay and
James Barlow, each rank among the top-10 in America East in both goals and points per game. The three Catamounts occupy the fifth, sixth and seventh spots on the conference's goals per game list, led by Barlow's 2.33 per contest. Milligan tops the team in points per game (4.33), good for fifth-most in America East, while MacKay and Barlow own the eighth and 10
th spots, respectively.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTHDartmouth owns a 2-3 overall record and 1-0 mark in Ivy League play heading into the matchup with Vermont on Tuesday. After dropping its opening three contests, Dartmouth is now on a two-game winning streak, collecting victories over Wagner (11-10) and Harvard (12-11 2OT). The Big Green is averaging just 8.40 goals per game, while surrendering 13.20 to opponents. Jack Korzelius and Wiley Osborne have led the attack with 14 goals and five assists combined. Blair Friedensohn has posted a 13.77 goals against average in five starts in net.

SCOUTING STONY BROOKThe Seawolves hold a 6-2 overall record and 1-1 mark in America East through the opening eight contests. They were edged by Albany by a final of 17-15 in their conference opener, before downing UMBC, 12-6, over the weekend to get in the win column in league play. Stony Brook is averaging 13.62 goals per game and allowing 8.88 to opponents. Mike Rooney and Brody Eastwood are the top two scorers for the Seawolves, as both rank in the conference's top-10 in goals and points per game. Hayden Johnstone has started three of the last four games in net, and owns a 10.11 goals against average on the year.
