ABOUT VERMONTUVM enters the matchup at Albany sitting at 8-3 overall and 1-0 in America East. Vermont opened conference play this past Saturday with an 11-10 win over UMBC in Burlington to push its winning streak to five straight. CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEKOn Monday, senior captain
Jessica Roach was named the America East Co-Offensive Player of the Week, along with Maureen Keggins of Albany. Roach collected her third weekly award of the season after matching a career-high with seven goals in Vermont's win over UMBC on Saturday. The Scituate, Massachusetts native registered her ninth multi-goal performance of the season, and currently ranks third in the nation with 4.18 goals per contest. Following the seven-score performance, Roach moved into third place on UVM's all-time career goals list and now sits just four scores shy of taking over second place.
NATIONAL RANKINGSAfter a big performance last time out,
Jessica Roach now leads the nation with 46 goals and ranks third with 56 points.
Vanessa VanderZalm also jumped into the top-10 in the nation in caused turnovers per game (2.44) after registering eight combined in Vermont's last two contests.
SCOUTING NO. 19/18 ALBANYThe Great Danes, ranked 19
th in the IWLCA Coaches Poll and 18
th in the Inside Lacrosse Poll, own an 8-1 overall record and 2-0 mark in league play. They enter the matchup with Vermont on a four-game winning streak, collecting victories over conference opponents UMass Lowell (21-1) and UNH (16-5) in their two most recent outings. Albany is leading the nation in scoring offense with 16.44 goals per game, while allowing just 5.67 to opponents, good for third-best in the country. th time in series history on Wednesday with Albany holding the all-time series advantage. Last season, the Great Danes edged Vermont in the America East Semifinals by a score of 12-8.

SCOUTING BINGHAMTONThe Bearcats stand at 5-5 overall on the season with a 1-1 record in America East. They dropped their conference opener to UMBC (13-12) in overtime last weekend, before toppping UMass Lowell (15-6) on Saturday to get into the win column in league play. Binghamton is set for a matchup with Stony Brook on Wednesday before the game with Vermont on Saturday. The Bearcats are averaging 8.60 goals per contest and allowing 10.90 to opponents. Sophia Racciatti and Renee Kiviat have provided the offense with a combined 45 points in 10 games. Goalie Erin McNulty owns an 11.08 goals against average and five wins in net.
