SCOUTING UMBCThe Retrievers are 4-6 overall on the year but still looking for their first conference win with a 0-3 mark in America East. UMBC has won two of its last three contests, with the only loss of the stretch coming at Hartford (9-8). The other two conference losses for the Retrievers this season came at the hands of Binghamton (13-4) and Stony Brook (12-4) back in mid-march. Through 10 games, UMBC is averaging 7.90 goals per contest, led by Jack Gannon (23 pts.), Pat Young (23) and Nate Lewnes (21), who have combined for 52 goals on the year.
