AUSTIN, Texas – University of Vermont juniors
Alicia Clark and
Martin Kallur were named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America Division I Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams on Thursday, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Clark was named a Third Team Academic All-American for the women, while Kallur received Second Team status on the men's side. The duo represents the 20th and 21st Catamounts to earn Academic All-America status in the history of the athletic department dating back to 1992-93 season. They are also the only two America East athletes to receive the honor this season.

CoSIDA ReleaseKallur was also honored as one of seven America East Scholar Athletes for the spring athletic season with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a double major in political science and Italian studies. A native of Falun, Sweden, he also earned the accolade during the winter season.

Kallur won the Coaches Award at the 2015 America East Indoor Track & Field Championships after collecting the most points of any male athlete. He then captured the New England heptathlon title and broke his own school record in the process. During the outdoor season, he was an All-Conference performer in the pole vault.
Clark earned All-Conference cross country honors with eighth place overall at the 2014 America East Championships. The junior also posted an All-America East performance during the indoor track season with third place in the 5000-meter run.

The Pawlet, Vermont native has been selected to the America East All-Academic Team during every year of her eligibility for both cross country and track & field. Clark maintains a near-perfect 3.98 GPA with a major in business administration.

Clark and Kallur were both named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team for cross country and track & field in May.
