RESULTS: Men | WomenBOSTON – Juniors
Ian Weider and
Mallory Honan each broke back-to-back long jump records on Friday at the Joe Donanue Games in Boston. The men finished sixth overall and earned 47.50 points while the women finished ninth and collected 31 points at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

Weider was the men's long jump champion clearing a mark of 7.36 meters for first place, topping a record set back in 2012.
Will Lynch claimed Catamount points in the high jump with a mark of 1.93 meters, capturing sixth overall.

Elsewhere in the field,
Thomas O'Leary finished second overall in the men's one mile run finals in a time of 4:14.06, earning eight points for UVM.
Patrick Coppinger broke through the top-10 in the 800-meter race. The junior claimed 10th overall in a time of 1:55.53.

Vermont seniors dominated the 3000-meter race, earning 25 points for the Catamounts.
Dan Moroney (8:32.60) and
Fletcher Hazlehurst (8:34.03) claimed first and second place, while
Oliver Scofield (8:40.82) and
Nick Grudev (8:46.53) crossed the finish line in fifth and sixth overall.

In the field for the women, Honan broke the Joe Donahue Games' record in the women's long jump as she claimed first place with a jump of 5.82 meters.
Grace Weisbecker earned Vermont third-place points in the pole vault clearing 3.75 meters.

Hilary Rawding ran the women's 800-meter race in 2:16.61, earning fourth place, and rookie
Lauren Trumble was not far behind in ninth with a time of 2:19.97. In the 1000-meter run,
Katie Nolan secured five, fourth-place points for Vermont finishing the race in 2:58.79.

Amber Peirsol finished eighth in the women's one mile finals with a time of 5:02.07 and classmate
Dana Gaetani placed in the top-10 in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line just shy of a minute at 59.11 seconds.

Distance specialists
Samantha Sayer (10:05.33) and
Anna Kaplan (10:10.18) finished fourth and ninth, respectively in the women's 3000-meter finals.
The Catamounts return to action next Saturday (Jan. 30) with a trip to UNH for a 11 a.m. meet in Durham, New Hampshire.
