BURLINGTON, Vt. – Molly Mariano and Viola Von der Mühlen scored in the second half for Albany as the Great Danes picked up a 3-0 win over the Vermont field hockey team at Moulton Winder Field on Sunday.

The Great Danes struck first just before halftime. Following a corner, a blocked Albany shot resulted in a loose ball in the vicinity of the penalty spot. Anna Bottino played the carom and tucked the ball in the left corner of the cage.
 
Molly Mariano doubled Albany's lead in the 45th minute after Von der Mühlen inserted a penalty corner. Dana Bozek sent the ball on goal, where it was redirected home by Molly Mariano.
 
Albany wrapped up the day's scoring in the 52nd minute. Paula Heuser found Von der Mühlen at the left post, where the latter created a deflection and nudged the ball inside the left post.
 
UVM now embarks on the final week of the regular season, traveling to UMass Lowell for a Friday, Oct. 28 match at 6 p.m.
