WRIGHT WAY OF PASSAGE
Brian Wright leads all seniors in the country with nine assists this season. Wright has dished a pair of assists on three separate occasions and all nine assists have come when the Catamounts reach the win column.
DIME PACKAGE
Bernard Yeboah recorded his 10th goal of the season in last Saturday's 2-0 shutout win at Binghamton. The senior becomes only the 14th Catamount to score at least 10 goals in a season. Yeboah found the back of the net nine times coming into his senior campaign, but has doubled his career total in just one season. In the nation, Yeboah sits in a 14th place tie with his dime tally of scores.
STOPPING AT THE 7-ELEVEN
With one more win this season, the 2016 Catamounts would become the seventh team in program history to post an 11-win season and match last year's win total. With two more wins, the 2016 squad would move into a third place tie in the program's single season record for most victories.
AMERICA EAST WEEKLY HONORS | Catamount Weekly
Yeboah and
Jon Arnar Barðdal took home America East weekly awards on Monday after helping the Catamounts to the win in Binghamton. Yeboah was named America East Player of the Week after scoring his 10th goal of the season in the 67th minute and then assisted Barödal's goal in the eighth minute. The roles were reversed with the first goal as Barödal earned America East Co-Rookie of the Week honors for his goal in the first half and then assisted Yeboah's score later in the game.
CHASE FOR WIN NO. 115
With UVM's win at Binghamton last weekend, head coach
Jesse Cormier recorded his 110th career victory on the sidelines. Cormier only needs five more wins to break Ron McEachen's record of 114 program wins. The Catamounts have two regular season games remaining on the schedule plus the America East Tournament.
SCOUTING UMBC
Saturday's meeting will mark the final home game on the docket for the Retrievers. UMBC is coming off a 2-1 win at Drexel on Tuesday in the non-conference finale, which snapped a six-game winless streak. The Retrievers have charted 11 of the team's 16 goals and 125 of 178 shots on their home turf. In UMBC victories, the squad is outscoring its opponents 12-5. Tre Pulliam sits just outside of the top 10 in America East with four goals and the Retrievers are unbeaten when the freshman scores (2-0-1). Keeper Billy Heavner ranks eighth in the conference with a 1.45 goals-against average (GAA), including a 0.95 GAA when the team tallies a win.
SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series is deadlocked at 4-4-1. The Catamounts swept last year's series, including a 2-1 win in the America East semifinals. UVM got revenge on UMBC in 2015 after the Retrievers knocked the Catamounts out of the playoffs in 2014 in the midst of a three-game winning streak in the heart of the series.
WHO'S NEXT
Vermont returns home on Wednesday (Nov. 2) to host New Hampshire at 7 p.m. under the lights of Virtue Field. UVM will honor its 11 seniors before the game for Senior Day. The game can be seen live for free in HD via AmericaEast.TV.
