REVISITING LAST YEAR'S CHAMPIONSHIP | 2015 America East Championship Highlights
The 2015 America East Championship saw the Catamounts come away with a 1-0 victory behind
Brian Wright's goal in the 33rd minute and handed Vermont its first conference championship since 2000. Vermont won their fifth America East Championship in program history and second under head coach
Jesse Cormier. Cormier, who picked up his 100th career victory at UVM with the win.
The quarterfinal duel will mark only the second time in the history of the league that teams from the prior year's conference championship game met again in the quarterfinal round the following season (2005, Binghamton and Boston University).

The UVM Bookstore will be selling authentic Catamount merchandise in the lobby of Gutterson Fieldhouse on Saturday. The bookstore will be offering a special on a gray-hooded V-Cat Soccer sweatshirt with limited sizes and quantities, a $40 value for only $20 while supplies last.
UVM TOURNEY HISTORY
The Catamounts are 13-12-4 all-time in the America East Tournament and 9-5-3 on their home turf. Saturday will mark the fifth time in program history that Vermont earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament. Since the tournament expanded to six teams in 2003, the third-seeded team has only failed to advance to the semifinal round twice (8-1-4). Currently, the No. 3 seed is on a four-game winning streak in the quarterfinal round.
CHASE FOR WIN NO. 115
Cormier inched closer to breaking the all-time wins record this week. With Vermont's 2-0 shutout win over New Hampshire on Thursday
, Cormier recorded his 112th career victory on the sidelines. Cormier only needs three more wins to break Ron McEachen's record of 114 program wins.
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats finished the regular season with a 7-5-6 record overall to earn the No. 6 seed in the tournament. Binghamton cooled off in the final weeks of the regular season with a 2-3-1 record in its final six games after only losing once in the previous six outings (2-1-3). Ben Ovetsky led the team with five goals and 11 points. He finished the regular season tied for 11th in goals and tied for 14th in points among the league's statistical leaders. Harrison Weilbacher and Charlie Novoth landed in the top 10 in America East with four assists apiece. The Bearcats recorded seven total shutouts on the year with six of them coming from Alejandro Cubillo. The redshirt freshman goalie ranked third in the conference in shutouts and sat fifth in saves (48).
SERIES HISTORY
Vermont commands the all-time series with a 10-5-3 record. UVM earned a 2-0 shutout win at Binghamton in the regular season with
Bernard Yeboah and
Jon Arnar Barðdal each recording a goal and and an assist. The Catamounts have won six of the last seven meetings with all six victories resulting in a shutout. In fact, the only time UVM reached the win column and could not prevent Binghamton from scoring was in the first-ever matchup in 2002 with a 2-1 victory. Since 2007, Vermont has outscored Binghamton, 14-6.
