VERMONT WOMEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOKThe University of Vermont women's lacrosse team is back on the East Coast after a three-game swing through California last week during spring break. The Catamounts close out a five-game road trip at Quinnipiac on Wednesday (March 16) before returning to Virtue Field for the first time in nearly a month when UVM hosts Siena on Saturday (March 19).

BOLT OF ENERGYJunior
Alison Bolt if off to a hot start this season. She has registered 20 points through the first six games of the year, after totaling 21 points in all of 2015. Bolt scored a career-high five goals in an overtime loss at UC Davis and added a career-high four assists in a loss at Cal. She leads the team in goals with 13 this season.

FEEL THE BERNJunior
Alex Bernier is UVM's leader in assists, handing out 13 helpers in the first six games of the season. She totaled 11 assists in all of 2015. Bernier is also the team's scoring leader with 21 points.

SCOUTING QUINNIPIACQuinnipiac has won two straight after starting the season 0-3 and stands at 2-3 on the season. The Bobcats posted a 7-4 win over UMass Lowell in its last outing.

The Bobcats have allowed just nine goals in their last two contests after surrendering 45 goals in the first three games of the year. Aileen Carey has scored six of QU's 16 goals in the last two games and leads the team in goals (7), while ranking second on the squad in scoring (7 points). Allison Kuhn leads Quinnipiac in scoring with nine points on seven goals and two assists. Kathleen DeVito is the team leader in assists (4).

Kyle Larkin is the only goalkeeper of record for the Bobcats, having played every minute in net. She has made 47 stops and owns a .465 save percentage.

Quinnipiac was picked to finish ninth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

THE SERIESVermont is 7-4 against the Bobcats and has won two straight and three of the last four meetings. UVM posted a 15-7 victory at Virtue Field last season and earned a 19-10 win in Hamden, Connecticut in 2014.

SCOUTING SIENASiena owns a 4-2 record to start the week and is 1-2 in its last three games. The Saints are coming off an 18-7 win over St. Bonaventure and host LIU Brooklyn on Wednesday before traveling to Burlington.

Lynnzee Miller leads the Bobcats' in scoring with 20 points on 18 goals and two assists. Sarah Croutier and Michelle Schwartz are tied for second in scoring with 17 points each. Croutier is second on the team in goals (12), while Schwartz is the team leader in assists (10).

Samantha Horton has played in all six games, starting four, and owns a .430 save percentage. Liv Dellanno and Ashley Holdridge have seen limited time in net for the Saints.

Siena was picked to finish fifth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Poll (MAAC).
