DURHAM, N.C. - Senior
Dana Gaetani shattered the women's outdoor school record in the 400-meter dash on Friday afternoon at the Duke Invitational. Gaetani finished seventh overall in the event with a time of 55.79 seconds, breaking Carmen Lagala's 2006 record time of 56.41.

Ian Weider and
Mallory Honan both had standout performances in the long jump on Friday. Weider was the second highest NCAA competitor in the men's event with a mark of 7.10 meters for third overall. Honan also took third but was the top female collegiate performer with a season-best distance of 5.68 meters.
Rookie
Justin Liechty rounded out the UVM competitors at Duke with 11th place in the men's 400-meter dash, finishing in just under 50 seconds in 49.68.
Five men's runners will also compete at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday night.

The rest of the Catamounts travel to Albany for the 32nd annual UAlbany Spring Classic on Saturday (April 23) at 11 a.m.
The meet will feature 20 colleges and a field of over 650 competitors.
