VERMONT WOMEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (5-8, 1-3 America East) hit the road for a pair of games. After a 13-day layoff Vermont will close out the regular season with three games in eight days. First up is a key league game at UMBC on Saturday (April 23) at 12 p.m. in Baltimore, Maryland. The Catamounts will also face Coastal Carolina in a non-league game at the Maryvale School in Lutherville, Maryland on Monday (April 25) at noon.

ABOUT VERMONT
The Catamounts are 2-2 in their last four games and coming off a 12-9 loss at New Hampshire on April 9. Vermont ranks ninth in the country in 8-meter shot percentage, converting 51% of its free position shots. UVM is also 16th in assists per game, averaging 5.77 on the year, and 28th in points per game (16.62).
FEELIN' THE BERN
Alex Bernier moved into fourth place among the all-time single-season leaders in assists in the UVM record book. She has handed out 24 helpers this season and needs two more assists to move into a tie for third all-time. Bernier is having the best season statistically of her career, she totaled 24 points all of last season.
SCOUTING UMBC
UMBC stands at 2-2 in America East and is 8-6 overall. The Retrievers snapped a three-game losing streak with an 11-10 win at Binghamton in double overtime their last time out.

Sam Nolan netted the game-winning goal to finish off a hat trick and she added four assists in the contest. Nolan who has a team-high 18 assists in addition to 33 goals on the season, is the reigning America East Offensive Player of the Week.

Teammate Carolyn Jamison ranks third in America East in goals per game (3.07) and points per game (3.71). She leads UMBC in scoring with 43 goals and 52 points.

Ashley Peacock is the team's top goalkeeper. She owns a 9.92 goals against average and .431 save percentage with 93 stops.

THE SERIES
UMBC leads the all-time series 7-5. The last three games have been decided by a total of five goals. Vermont won the last meeting between the two schools, pulling out an 11-10 win in Burlington in 2015.

SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA
The Chanticleers stand at 8-6 on the year and are 4-3 in the Big South Conference. Coastal Carolina faces Radford before meeting the Catamounts in Maryland on Saturday.

Coastal Carolina has won three of its last five games, but is coming off an 8-6 loss to Winthrop in its last outing.

Sara Nolan leads the team in scoring with 42 points and 34 goals. She also has a team-high 38 draw controls. Charlotte O'Leary is second on the team in scoring with 30 points and 28 tallies. Maggie Carr leads the team in assists, handing out 22 helpers, and has 33 points.

Jenna Stover is the team's top goalkeeper. She has made 108 saves and owns a .491 save percentage and an 8.58 goals against average.

THE SERIES
Monday marks the first-ever meeting between Vermont and Coastal Carolina in women's lacrosse.

WHO'S NEXT
Vermont closes out the regular season hosting Binghamton on Saturday, April 30 at 3 p.m. in a lacrosse doubleheader at Virtue Field. The UVM men's team also hosts Binghamton at 7 p.m. Saturday will mark Senior Day for both programs and both teams will honor their senior classes in pregame ceremonies.

RALLY AGAINST CANCER
Saturday the final Rally Against Cancer event of the season presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special pink arm bands and socks to show support for the work being done at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. There will be a table with representatives from the UVM Cancer Center as well as Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets with more information on the Rally Against Cancer games and donations can be made.
