VERMONT WOMEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (6-9, 2-3 America East) host Binghamton in the regular season finale on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Virtue Field. The game will the first part of a lacrosse doubleheader, as the UVM men's team will host the Bearcats at 7 p.m. Between games fans can enjoy a Fan Appreciation Day.

SALUTE TO THE SENIORS
Saturday marks the final home game for seniors Margaret Nealon and Vanessa VanderZalm. The duo has combined to win 36 games, the second most among a four-year class in the program's history, and has advanced to the America East Semifinals three straight years. The pair has also combined to play in 76 career games at Vermont. Nealon has been a great role model for her teammates during her four years. An active member of the student-athlete advisory council within the athletic department, she has been selected to the America East Academic Honor Roll three times. Last season she was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. VanderZalm is one of the top players to come through the program, she ranks among UVM's all-time leaders in six categories. She is a three-time captain and a two-time IWLCA regional All-American. She has earned all-conference honors from America East every year and was named to the all-tournament team last season.
FAN APPRECIATION DAY
The University of Vermont Athletic Department will be hosting a Fan Appreciation Day, rain or shine, on Saturday (April 30) from 6-7 p.m. at Virtue Field.
Fans can enjoy free food and beverages including Leonardo's Pizza. In addition, fans will have access to a bouncy castle provided by Suncommon, music, lawn games, face painting and more! There will also be the opportunity to enter multiple raffles for signed Vermont athletic items and gift cards. And of course, Rally Catamount will be there!

RALLY AGAINST CANCER
Saturday is the final Rally Against Cancer event of the season presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special pink arm bands and socks to show support for the work being done at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. There will be a table with representatives from the UVM Cancer Center as well as Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets with more information on the Rally Against Cancer games and donations can be made.

JANES NAMED AMERICA EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jenna Janes was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday. She scored her first career hat trick in a key 13-10 victory for Vermont at UMBC on Saturday to keep UVM's playoff hopes alive heading into Saturday's game versus Binghamton

UMBC trailed by just two goals with eight minutes remaining in the game. Janes netted her third goal of the game at the 5:04 mark to secure the win for UVM and keep its playoff hopes alive. She entered the game with just two goals on the year.

Janes added four goals and five points against Coastal Carolina on Monday. She entered the UMBC game with five points total on the season.

SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats stand at 5-11 overall and are 1-4 in league play. Binghamton snapped a seven-game losing streak and picked up its first league win with a 12-4 victory over UMass Lowell on Sunday.

Callon Williams leads the team in points (34) and has recorded 25 goals. Rebecca Golderman is the team's leading scorer with 27 goals and 30 points.

Erin McNulty has played the majority of minutes in net for the Bearcats. She owns a 9.50 goals against average and a .458 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Vermont leads the all-time series against Binghamton with an 11-3 record. The Catamounts have won three of the last four meetings, including two straight. Last season UVM posted an 18-7 win in Vestal, New York.

AMERICA EAST PLAYOFFS
The America East Playoffs begin on Friday, May 6 with the semifinal round and the championship game is scheduled for Sunday, May 8. All games will be played on the campus of the highest seed. More information on game times and seeds will be posted following the conclusion of games on Saturday at
