The defenseman added five assists in 14 playoff games and owned a plus-16 rating for the regular season and postseason combined. An assistant captain with Lake Erie, Sifers was skating for his fifth different AHL franchise after playing three years in Germany from 2011-14.
Lake Erie claimed its first Calder Cup in franchise history, Cleveland's 10th Calder Cup title, and the city's first AHL Championship since 1964. Game 4 was played in front of a sellout crowd of 19,665, the largest crowd in Monsters franchise history and the second-largest crowd in the 80-year history of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
