WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Vermont freshman
Ross Colton has been named the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week after collecting a career-high four assists against UConn last Friday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse. The league made the announcement on Monday afternoon.

Colton assisted on four of UVM's five goals in the 5-4 Hockey East victory, becoming the first Catamount to post four assists in a game since Chris McCarthy on Feb. 21, 2014 at Merrimack. The rookie currently leads the team in goals (9), assists (13), and points (22), all of which rank top-5 among league freshmen this season.
The 11th-ranked Catamounts have already eclipsed last season's win total at 16-7-2 and sit third overall in the Hockey East standings at 8-4-1 for 17 points. UVM has won six of its last seven games overall and has now taken five in a row against Connecticut.
