BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont men's and women's basketball teams will continue to support ongoing efforts being done at the University of Vermont Cancer Center by hosting their annual Rally Against Cancer games, presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets.
 
Both teams will be wearing special pink jerseys for their respective games. The game-worn jerseys will be up for auction starting today, and can be bid on by clicking here. Bidding concludes 24 hours after tipoff of each game. Proceeds will be donated to the University of Vermont Cancer Center.
 
Women's basketball will host Hartford on Saturday (Feb. 4) at 2 p.m. and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to show their support in the fight against cancer. Those fans who wear pink will receive entrance to the game for only $2. This game is also the annual Pack The House Challenge, part of a national effort in which conferences compete to build attendance at women's basketball games.
 
The Vermont men welcome Binghamton to Patrick Gymnasium on Monday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. Fans are once again encouraged to wear pink in support of the efforts occurring at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. The first 100 students in attendance will receive a free Vermont tank top and are encouraged to be the "Sixth Man" in the gym, contributing to volume and atmosphere.
 
The University of Vermont Cancer Center will be tabling in the lobby of Patrick Gym for both games along with Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. A ceremonial jersey presentation will occur prior to both games with representatives in attendance from the University of Vermont Cancer Center, Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets and the Vermont Athletic Department.
