BURLINGTON, Vt. – Men's hockey sophomore
Ross Colton, a public communication major, is our TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending October 8.
On the opening weekend of the men's hockey season Colton scored four goals in two games for the Catamounts. On Friday night Colton scored the game-winning tally in UVM's 3-0 win over Colorado College. Then on Saturday night he notched the first Vermont hat trick since 2014.
After the first weekend of the season Colton is one of only three Division I players with four goals on the year.
Vermont returns to action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to face No. 17 Quinnipiac. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m. and fans can catch the action on ESPN3.
