SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth is 2-4-0 on the year and 2-3-0 in ECAC play, having played the lowest number of total games in Division I. The Big Green is 0-4-0 on the road but 2-0-0 in its only games played at Thompson Arena this season. Dartmouth lost to 14th-ranked Cornell and Colgate on the road two weekends ago in league contests.
Junior Kevan Kilistoff leads the team with six points and is tied with sophomore Daniel Warpecha for the lead in goals with three. Senior Devin Buffalo has started all six games in net with a 3.56 goals against average and an .875 save percentage but was injured in the team's last game 16 minutes in at Colgate.Â
Bob Gaudet is in his 21st year as the head coach in Hanover and is only nine wins away from 300 during his tenure. Last year, the Big Green was swept away from home by Yale in the ECAC First Round and finished the season at 10-18-3 (7-13-2 ECAC).
SERIES HISTORY
UVM collected its 50th all-time win over Dartmouth at home last November in the 79th meeting between the former ECAC rivals. Vermont owns the advantage in the series with Dartmouth at 50-23-6, including a 23-15-3 edge in Hanover. The Catamounts are 7-1-1 in their last nine games against the Big Green, winning three in a row by the combined score of 10-3.
Vermont registered a 1-0 shutout on Jan. 8, 2016 in Burlington on Martin St. Louis Night as number 8 was raised to the rafters and Brendan Bradley won the game with a late second period goal. This will be only UVM's second trip since 2012 to Thompson Arena, where the Catamounts are 3-1-0 in their last four outings. Vermont is 1-1-0 against ECAC opponents this season.
