SETTING THE SCENE
After a brief stop on their home turf, the Cats hit the road for two more non-conference games in the Empire State and the Ocean State. UVM will be looking for its 33rd win against a current Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) school while stepping foot in Rhode Island for only the seventh time in program history. The green and gold are looking to reach the win column as the calendar flips into March. In fact, Vermont has won three out of the last five March openers.

LAST TIME OUT | Marist Highlights
The Catamounts could not hold off a strong second-half push by Marist and suffered a 13-9 non-conference defeat on Saturday afternoon in the home opener. The Cats had four players record two goals each –
Meredith Moore,
Brynne Yarranton,
Alex Vignona, and
Becca Olsen.
Courtney Cole scored the additional goal for UVM.
Alison Bolt and Moore dished out three assists apiece. Goalie
Maddy Kuras stopped seven shots for the green and gold.
7-ELEVEN
Yarranton is tied for 11th in the league with seven goals. The senior's seven scores lead the team and holds a .818 shots-on-goal percentage.
SOME ASSIST-ANCE REQUIRED
Bolt has emerged as one of the top setup players in America East. Bolt ranks second in the conference with eight assists. The midfielder's assist hat trick on Saturday was the second such feat of her career.
SCOUTING SIENA
The Saints were tied for sixth in the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll and are looking for their first win of the season after starting 0-3. Siena uses scoring from multiple angles as five different players have at least three goals. Michelle Schwartz has emerged as the team's leading scorer with six goals and four assists. The trio of Briana Sirianni, Lauren Anglim, and Julia Sardella follow with four goals apiece. Alexis Deaken has found the back of the net three times to round out the attack.
SCOUTING BRYANT
The Bulldogs were tabbed as the unanimous Northeast Conference (NEC) preseason favorite. Bryant returns a large core of last year's squad, including NEC Defensive Player of the Year Molly Martin and Rookie of the Year Jess DeMeo. In Bryant's two games this season, DeMeo has netted a pair of goals and dished out three assists. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 20-5 loss at fourth-ranked Stony Brook on Feb. 18 but rebounded with a 14-3 win against Holy Cross on Feb. 25.
SERIES HISTORY
Vermont has dominated the all-time series with Siena 16-1 which dates back to the 1998 season. The Catamounts are riding a six-game winning streak as the only defeat came in 2010.
Last year's season opener was the first meeting between Bryant and UVM. The Bulldogs pulled away late in the second half for an 11-7 win at Virtue Field.
