Boston College established a two-goal cushion 2:03 into the second period on a broken play. Caitrin Lonergan attempted a pass into the slot that was blocked by a Vermont defender, but the puck came right back to Lonergan and she was able to shuffle a soft backhand in the net for her 15
th goal of the season.
The Catamounts got one back on their own power play midway through the middle frame. Vermont cycled the puck around the point to
Taylor Willard. Willard fired a high wrist shot towards the net, with traffic in front Boston College's Katie Burt didn't see it and it went straight in for Willard's fourth goal of the year.

Less than two minutes later the Eagles struck again to regain their two-goal lead. Serena Sommerfield retrieved a puck in the neutral zone and fed Makenna Newkirk as she cut into the Vermont zone.
