Pelkey Selection
Pelkey was selected by Buffalo Beauts' goaltender and Canadian Olympian Shannon Szabados to play for the team she's captaining. The Montpelier, Vermont native is joined by five of her Boston Pride teammates and eight members of last year's Olympic gold medal-winning Team USA as All-Star selections.
Team Szabodos is headlined by its captain as well as United States Olympians Kendall Coyne Schofield, Amanda Kessel, Haley Skarupa, and Pelkey.
The former UVM captain has tallied four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in seven games to earn her second All-Star nomination and has amassed 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) in 40 games over her three-year NWHL career.
As a Catamount, Pelkey set career records in goals (49), assists (56), and points (105) over 127 games. She also holds single-season records in goals (21) and points (40), both set in 2013-14. Pelkey is the only women's hockey alumna to have an Olympic gold medal after earning it in PyeongChang in 2018.
The 2019 NWHL All-Star Game is scheduled to play Sunday (Feb. 10) at Bridgestone Arena in Music City.
