LAST TIME OUT | Colgate Highlights
Colgate and Vermont went back-and-forth for most of the contest, but the Raiders handed the Cats an 11-9 decision in the season opener on Saturday afternoon. The Catamounts had six players record a point as Jenna Janes led the way with five points. The junior scored four goals and dished out an assist. Elise Koehl scored twice and recorded an assist in her UVM debut. MacKenzie Bolt and Sabrina Tattersfield also notched their first career goals. Courtney Cole rounded out Vermont's offensive attack with a goal. Goalie Maddy Kuras stopped 12 shots on the afternoon.

FEEL THE BERN
Alex Bernier is two assists away from cracking the top-10 on the program's all-time assists list. The redshirt senior sits in a 11th-place tie with 37 career assists. She holds the third-best season in school history after handing out 26 assists as a junior.

CATAMOUNT NEWCOMERS
Vermont welcomed eight newcomers to the program during the offseason, including five freshmen and three transfers. The five freshmen are Jessica English, Gabby Fairley, Giuliana Frizzi, Grace Giancola, and Cassidy Hollaran. The trio of transfers are MacKenzie Bolt (Virginia Tech), Elise Koel (Louisville), and Charity Warner (Monroe Community College).

AMERICA EAST PRESEASON POLL
The Catamounts landed in a fifth-place tie with Binghamton in the 2018 America East Preseason Coaches' Poll. UVM earned a total of 22 points in the preseason rankings. Four-time defending champion Stony Brook was tabbed as the unanimous preseason favorite with 49 points. Albany followed in second place with 41 points. UMBC was picked third with 39 points and received the final first place vote. New Hampshire grabbed the fourth-place spot with 27 points. UMass Lowell tallied 17 points and Hartford rounded out the poll in eighth place with seven points.

SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
The Bonnies dropped their season opener at Lehigh 18-5 on Feb. 10. Rylee Arnold led St. Bonaventure with a pair of goals and goalie Morgan Conroy recorded 17 saves in the tough defeat. Coming into the season, St. Bonaventure was picked to finish ninth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bonnies graduated five of their top seven scorers from last season, but Gabrielle Bradley and Arnold return as the top offensive threats. Bradley led the team as a junior with 24 assists and ranked third on the squad with 34 points. Arnold netted 12 goals for the Bonnies as a sophomore, the highest total by an SBU underclassman. In goal, Conroy averaged 12.3 saves per game– the second highest average among Division I netminders.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Tuesday's matinee will be the rubber match as the two programs have only met twice in the all-time series. In the first contest, St. Bonaventure won 20-15 in Eugene, Oregon during the 2007 season. After a decade-long hiatus, the Catamounts evened the series with a 17-10 victory at Virtue Field last season.

WHO'S NEXT
Vermont will wrap up a two-game road trip in the Empire State at Marist on Saturday (Feb. 24). The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. Fans can watch the game on the Red Fox Network
