LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts' conference road finale saw the lead change hands eight times and the score was tied eight different times as UMBC outlasted UVM 16-14 on Saturday afternoon. Jenna Janes had a big day for the Cats with six points on four goals and two assists. She also picked up three ground balls, won two draw controls, and caused a turnover. Vermont had three players add two goals apiece – Courtney ColeElise Koehl, and MacKenzie Bolt. Maddy Kuras recorded 11 saves in goal.

THE MAD HATTER
After being held to one goal one assist through the first three conference games, Janes has responded with eight goals and three assists in her last two games. The junior has logged back-to-back hat tricks for a total of five this season.

CATS VS. RANKED OPPONENTS
Vermont has reached the win column three times against ranked opponents. UVM knocked off No. 14 New Hampshire 9-8 on April 9, 2008. In a triple-overtime thriller, the Catamounts took down 15th-ranked Dartmouth 16-15 on March 27, 2013. The Green and Gold also beat No. 15 Stony Brook 8-7 in overtime on April 26, 2014.

TOP-10 NATIONALLY
As a team, the Catamounts rank ninth in the country in free position percentage. UVM has scored on 50.6% (39-for-77) of its free position opportunities. On the individual front, Kuras has racked up the 10th-most saves (143) in Division I. In Saturday's loss at UMBC, she surpassed the century mark with 102 career ground balls and moved into ninth place on Vermont's career list.

SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
The Big Green come into Wednesday ranked No. 15 in this week's U.S. Lacrosse Magazine's Top-20 Poll. Dartmouth has one of the top scoring offenses in the country. The Big Green average 15.0 goals per game for the 16th-highest average in the nation. Ellie Carson paces the team with 47 points on 36 goals and 11 assists. Carson sits 27th in Division I with 3.27 goals per game and has netted nine goals against America East opponents this year. Tori Chanenchuck also ranks in the top-30 nationally with 2.0 assists per game. She has handed out 22 assists during her sophomore campaign – the sixth highest total in the Ivy League. In the cage, Kiera Vrindten has registered the third-lowest goals-against average (11.09) and stopped the fifth-most saves among her Ivy League peers.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Cats and Big Green will revisit the all-time series after a three-year break. The Green and Gold have won the last three meetings, but trail their twin state rival 19-6. Dartmouth will come into Wednesday's matinee in the national rankings for the sixth time in the last eight games between the two programs. Back in 2015, Vermont used an 11-goal first-half effort to roll past Dartmouth 19-11 in Hanover.

WHO'S NEXT
Vermont will host Hartford in the inaugural matchup between the two programs on Saturday (April 21). The opening draw is set for 12 p.m. The contest is UVM's annual Rally Against Cancer game presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and support the efforts being made at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. Single game tickets are available at UVMathletics.com/Tickets or at the Gutterson Fieldhouse Box Office on gameday. Free live video will be available in HD at AmericaEast.TV.
