COACH'S TAKE
"We really picked our moments to go forward and I think there were times where we could have actually been a bit more patient with the ball," head coach
Kate Pfeifer said. "We also saw things open up at certain times, and once we got into the circle, we really did a lot to get second and third chances at the net."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sierra Espeland (6 saves) made the biggest save of the game in the 12th minute on a penalty stroke from Aggie Milou Korthouwer. The sophomore goalie moved with the shot to her right and batted the ball out of the air for the save.
- Carla Godsman put the Cats on the board in the 17th minute after burying a shot into the top left corner of the net. Junior Rebekah Silver picked up her first collegiate assist on the play.
- Olivia Hurd nearly doubled Vermont's lead in the opening minute of the second half, but UC Davis goalie Chelsea Bigelow (7 saves) turned away the point blank shot. Hurd picked up an assist on Warren's second goal of the game.
- The Aggies tied the game at 1-1 with a quick transition goal following Hurd's near-tally. Lauren Gencarella received a pass from Korthouwer and fired a shot past Espeland for the equalizer.
- Sydney Melfi pushed toward the UC Davis circle and moved the ball towards the center and teammate Jackie Gillen, who moved the ball to Warren, who came crashing in for her first tally of the game.
- Following the UC Davis timeout, Warren and the Catamounts went back on the attack, finding the net just 19 seconds after taking a 2-1 lead.
- With five goals and 10 points on the season, Warren sits alone in fifth in the Catamount record book with 73 career points. She is fourth all-time with 36 career goals and needs just four more tallies to move to second in the Catamount records.
