BURLINGTON, Vt. – Pleun Haantjes netted the first goal of her career in the 21st minute to tie the game at 1-1, but the Minutewomen (2-2) scored a pair of unanswered goals to take a 3-1 final over Vermont (0-3) at Moulton Winder Field Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Antonet Louw scored her fifth goal of the season to break a scoreless deadlock in the 18th minute. Louw fired a high shot into the back of the net off a penalty corner. Bailey McNamara and Lucy Cooper picked up assists on the play.
- Haantjes responded just minutes later off Vermont's first penalty corner of the afternoon. She ripped a rebound past UMass goalie Johanna van dem Borne for the equalizer.
- Clare Sheahan made a great defensive play and broke up a 2-on-1 late in the first half to keep the score even at 1-1.
- UMass regained the lead 12 minutes into the second half off of a goal from Georgie McTear.
- Louw added her second of the game in the final minutes off an assist from McTear.

- Vermont travels to Dartmouth next Friday (Sept. 7) to take on the Big Green. The match is slated to begin at 4 p.m. in Hanover.
