COACH'S QUOTE
"We were a bit disconnected at the start today and Dartmouth did well capitalizing on their chances," head coach
Kate Pfeifer said. "I give our players a lot of credit for the focus they showed after our timeout, to defend well and convert our 10th corner attempt to tie it. The team carried the momentum into overtime and made some great plays when it counted."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dartmouth took an early lead in the seventh minute on Katie Persin's second goal of the season. Jessica Valvano picked up the assist on the deflected goal off a penalty corner.
- Landon Warren scored her first goal of the season in the 39th minute to tie the game at one. Rachel Phillips grabbed her first assist of the season on the tally.
- Katie Spanos gave the Big Green a 2-1 lead three minutes after Warren's goal after she capped a long run with a high shot to the back of the net.
- After nine unsuccessful attempts, the Catamounts tied the game on their 10th penalty corner of the afternoon after Warren knocked home a rebound after getting behind the defense.
- In the 7-on-7 overtime period, freshman Ferry needed just three and a half minutes to give Vermont its first win of the season.
- UVM held a 23-10 advantage in shots and an 11-8 advantage on penalty corners.
