BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Vermont men's lacrosse team has been selected to finish third in the 2019 America East Preseason Poll. The conference announced the results of the poll earlier Thursday.

The Catamounts received 25 votes to slot into third in the poll. UAlbany (35) and Stony Brook (33) were selected to finish ahead of Vermont. A complete list of the results can be found at the bottom of the page.
Vermont finished the 2018 campaign with a 12-4 overall record and third place regular season finish in America East following a 4-2 conference record. Vermont knocked off second-ranked Stony Brook in the America East tournament before falling to UAlbany in the conference title game.
The 2019 Catamounts feature 35 returners and 15 freshman. The team has players from 14 different states, two Canadian provinces, and Germany.
Vermont opens the 2019 season next Friday (Feb. 1) with a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the Utah Utes. It marks the first game in program history for Utah. A pair of Catamounts, senior

Jack Mintz, return to their home state of Utah. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. (Eastern) and will air on the PAC-12 Network.
