STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – A pair of ECAC/IC4A qualifiers headlined the day for Vermont track & field Friday afternoon in Ashenfelter Indoor Track at the Penn State National Open.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wendeln kicked off the day for the Catamounts with a third-place finish in the 5000m open race after completing the run in 17:54.64
- Sayer registered a time of 17:27.05 later in the day when she competed in the 5000m invite race for eighth overall.
- Caroline O'Shea, Mia Grasso, Jane Leighton and Phoebe Koski completed the women's distance medley in 12:03.70 for fourth overall.
- In the 60m dash, Beard sprinted to a time of 7.11 seconds, a 0.1 second improvement on his time from last week at the Middlebury Winterfell.
NOTES
- Sayer qualified for the ECAC/IC4A in the 5000m and the DMR relay team of O'Shea, Grasso, Leighton, and Koski also qualified for the championship.

Tomorrow marks a busy day for the Catamounts as some continue at the Penn State National Open while another group from Vermont track & field competes at the Middlebury Invitational. UVM will also be competing at the UNH Tri-Meet in Durham, New Hampshire.
