COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Amanda Pelkey '15 was selected to the United States Women's National Team for the upcoming Rivalry Series against Canada in announcement by USA Hockey Friday (Jan. 25).

Pelkey is one of 14 members of the 2018 gold-medal winning U.S Olympic team to be selected. The 2018 Olympic team registered its first gold medal since 1998 after defeating Canada in a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory in Pyeongchang, South Korea. She is also joined by Gigi Marvin, Haley Skarupa, and Dana Trivigno as members of the Boston Pride in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL).
The Montpelier, Vermont native has eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in 11 professional games this season, which earned her a spot in the NWHL All-Star Game scheduled for Feb. 10. She tallied three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 17 international games with the United States last season, including two points at the Olympics.
As a Catamount, Pelkey set career records in goals (49), assists (56), and points (105) over 127 games. She also holds single-season records in goals (21) and points (40), both set in 2013-14. Pelkey is the only women's hockey alumna to have an Olympic gold medal after earning it in PyeongChang in 2018.
The 2019 Rivalry Series begins with two games in Canada (Feb. 12 & 14), both at 7 p.m. in London and Toronto, Ontario. United States returns home for one game on the first day of Hockey Week in America (Feb. 17-24) at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
