HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wildcats jumped to the early lead with a goal in the eighth minute. Senior Bailey Fanikos scored after receiving a pass from Ava Mariani near the goal mouth.
- New Hampshire doubled its lead with less than 10 minutes to play in the first half off of a penalty corner. Sophomore Tia Raspante found the loose ball and scored from the right side of the circle. Emily Eckels assisted on the goal.
- Vermont cut the lead to one goal on its first penalty corner in the 51st minute. Clodagh Ferry finished the goal after passes from Peppe Haantjes and Sydney Melfi off the corner.
- The Wildcats kept the Catamounts from tying the game in the final minutes. Vermont pulled Sierra Espeland (7 saves) with less than three minutes to play, but could not solve Jemma Banks and the New Hampshire defense.
GAME NOTES
- Ferry's fifth goal of the season brought her into a tie with Bailey Matthews for the team lead in points (13).
- Each team was assessed a yellow card and an additional five green cards were handed out.
- New Hampshire held a 4-1 advantage in penalty corners and a 15-2 advantage in shots.

Vermont plays its final road non-conference game on Sunday (Oct. 27). The Cats head to Hamilton, New York to meet the Colgate Raider (2-12, 0-5 Patriot). The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m. and will stream on the Patriot League Network.
