MEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
Vermont hosts 17th-ranked UMass Lowell (4-2-2, 1-0-1 HEAM) in its first Hockey East series of the season this weekend at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Friday's game is presented by Vermont National Country Club and Saturday's game is the annual Military Appreciation Night presented by Milton Cat. Both conference games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. The voice of the Catamounts, Michael Lehr, is on the call across all platforms. Jerry Tarrant '89 joins Lehr in the booth Friday and Peter Lenes '09 makes his booth debut on Saturday.

Tickets for both games are available using the links above. General admission seats are available for Saturday night with prices as low as $15 for adults. As part of Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, all active duty and retired military personnel, and veterans can purchase reserved seats for $15 and general admission seats for $10.

UVM ALUMNI HOUSE PREGAME RECEPTION FRIDAY
A pregame reception at the UVM Alumni House is scheduled prior to Friday's game. Registration is closed through the Alumni Association but alumni, parents, and friends are still welcome to attend the reception between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell enters the weekend series as the nation's 17th-ranked team per the most recent USCHO national poll with a 4-2-2 overall record and 1-0-1 Hockey East mark. UML has played five consecutive overtime games.

The River Hawks swept Alabama-Huntsville at home to open the season before splitting a series at two-time defending champion Minnesota Duluth. The River Hawks took a tie in a home series against Colgate before tying Boston University and taking an overtime win at Providence last weekend.

Senior Kenny Hausinger leads the team in goals (5) and points (6). Freshman Matt Brown leads the team with six assists. Senior Tyler Wall has made seven starts between the pipes. He is fourth in the NCAA with a .947 save percentage and eighth with a 1.52 goals against average.

Vermont and UMass Lowell meet for the 55th and 56th times in series history this weekend in Burlington. The River Hawks have held court in recent series history with an 8-1-1 record in the last 10 meetings.

Lekkas earned Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week honors following his North Country weekend. The senior stopped 64-of-67 shots over the weekend and made 35 saves in a 2-0 shutout win over St. Lawrence. It marks his 10th career defensive player of the week honor.

Lekkas recorded his 3,000th career save and fourth career shutout against St. Lawrence. He is the third goalie to record 3,000 saves in a Vermont uniform, joining Tim Thomas '97 (3,950) and Rob Madore '12 (3,352) and currently has 3,069 saves.
