FINAL SCORE: New Hampshire 2, Vermont 1
BURLINGTON, Vt. – The conference match had all three goals scored within a five-minute stretch, but the UVM women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of twin state rival New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. The Catamounts slip to 2-7-2 overall and 0-3-1 in league play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Wildcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. The Catamounts tried to clear a long feed but the ball bounced right to Ally Reynolds, who fought off two defenders and drove a shot under the crossbar.
• Natalie Durieux found the answer for the Green and Gold two minutes later. The Catamounts drew a foul near the edge of the 18-yard box setting up a free kick. On the kick, Durieux snuck a line drive past a wall of UNH defenders and into the right side of the net.
• UNH retook the lead in the 25th minute with a goal from Whitney Wiley. Liz Lane sent a low cross into the middle of the field for Wiley, who rifled a strike from 20 yards out that deflected off the hands of UVM goalie Kacey Lambertson and into the top left corner of the net.  

GAME NOTES

• Lambertson finished the contest with a season-high 12 saves, one shy of her career high. 
• Durieux's goal was the second of her collegiate career. The local Williston native scored a goal in the season opener against Sacred Heart.
• The match was UVM's annual Rally Around Mental Health Game.
