NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Anthony Lamb registered a team-high 18 points, but Vermont (6-3) fell to Yale (6-3) 65-52 on Sunday afternoon at John J. Lee Amphitheater. The setback snaps a three-game winning streak against the Bulldogs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Yale opened the game on a 12-0 run led by Paul Atkinson who produced a game-high 23 points. Lamb drilled a three-pointer for the Catamounts to stop the run, but the Bulldogs led 23-10 at the midway point of the first half.
• UVM answered with a 15-6 run in the final 10 minutes of the frame and cut the deficit to four. Everett Duncan had five points to lead the run as the Green and Gold trailed 29-25 at the break. 
• Atkinson's scoring continued in the second half as Yale came out of the locker room on a 10-4 surge before the first media timeout. The Bulldogs extended their lead to a 13-point margin with 7:48 remaining on the clock.
• Vermont pulled to within seven points on a Robin Duncan layup with 1:16 left, but Yale's free throws put the game out of reach.  

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Lamb's 18-point outing was complimented with a team-high seven rebounds. The captain dished out a pair of assists while tallying three steals and two blocks on the defensive end.
• Everett Duncan shot 3-for-8 from the field for nine points. He matched Lamb's rebound total, including two boards on the offensive glass.
• Ryan Davis added eight points off the bench and hauled in four of his six rebounds on the offensive end of the floor.
