The Vermont Catamounts (2-1) host the Quinnipiac Bobcats (0-2) on Military Appreciation Day, presented by Milton Cat, on Saturday in Burlington. The opening face-off is set for 12:00 p.m. at Virtue Field.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac enters Saturday's game against Vermont with an 0-2 record in 2019. The Bobcats opened the season with losses against UMass Lowell (12-10) and Brown (20-7). Matt Miller, Jake Tomsik, and Will Abbott are tied for the team lead with five points each. Miller leads the team with four goals and Abbott leads the team with three assists. Nick DiMuccio has started both games in goal for the Bobcats. He hold a 16.00 goals against average and .515 save percentage.

QU finished the 2018 season with a 9-6 overall record and 6-0 MAAC conference mark. The top-seeded Bobcats fell to eventual MAAC Champion Canisius in last year's conference semifinal.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont holds a 6-2 all-time record against Quinnipiac in a series dating back to 2002. UVM's longest win streak in the series is five games. The Cats currently have a one-game win streak against the Bobcats.

WASHUTA CRACKS TOP-5
Nick Washuta won his 19th career game against Holy Cross last Saturday (Feb. 16). He passed Bryan Eng '88 for sole possession of fifth in program history. The Orono, Minnesota native is one win shy of matching UVM Hall-of-Famer Mike Gabel '05 for fourth in program history and three wins shy of matching UVM Hall-of-Famer Chris McCabe '91 for third in program history.

BACK-TO-BACK AMERICA EAST WEEKLY
Washuta and
David Closterman picked up America East Weekly honors for the second straight week after UVM's win over Holy Cross. Washuta earned AE Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and fourth of his career. Closterman earned conference Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week after posting his second career hat trick. He also added his first career assist to finish with four points.

Vermont Men's & Women's Lacrosse Coaches invite program alumni back for a joint alumni day with a doubleheader and reception for program alumni. The day will start at 11:00 a.m. with women's lacrosse hosting Stony Brook in the annual Vanessa Cox #23 Memorial Game. The men's lacrosse team will continue the action at 2:30 p.m. hosting UAlbany.Â
