Grace Giancola have earned America East weekly honors. Janes has been named Offensive Player of the Week while Giancola collects a Rookie of the Week nod. The league made the announcement on Monday.

Janes matched a career-high with seven points in Sunday's 18-9 win at East Carolina. The Baltimore, Maryland native scored a game-high five goals and handed out two assists. She netted her five goals on seven shot attempts and picked up one ground ball. Janes is the first Catamount to garner America East Offensive Player of the Week honors since
Meredith Moore back in February of 2017. Janes sits fourth in the league with 15 goals this year – one away from tying the top spot.
Giancola added three points to the scoring column with one goal and two assists against the Pirates. She won a game-high nine draw controls, the most draw controls by a UVM player since
Vanessa VanderZalm recorded 11 draws at Marist on Feb. 28, 2016. The Canton, Connecticut native ranks eighth in America East with 19 total draw controls this season.
