Vermont (12-19-2, 5-16-2 HEA) closes the 2018-19 season against the 16th-ranked UMass Lowell River Hawks (18-11-4, 12-7-4 HEA) on Senior Night, presented by UVM Alumni Association, Friday at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Conor O'Neil, and
Craig Puffer will be honored prior to Friday night's game for their contributions to the men's hockey program over the past four years.

The trio has combined to play over 370 career games and posted a combined 127 points entering Friday's game.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell enters the regular season finale as the 16th-ranked team in the nation with an 18-11-4 overall record and 12-7-4 Hockey East mark. The River Hawks hold a 10-3-3 record in the 2019 calendar year. UML ranks fourth in Hockey East in both scoring offense (2.76) and scoring defense (2.18). Its defense ranks 11th nationally. The River Hawk penalty kill ranks eighth in Hockey East and 21st nationally (83.2%) and its power play ranks seventh in Hockey East and 36th in the NCAA.

Junior Ryan Lohin leads the team in goals (12) and points (26). Connor Sodergren leads the team in assists (15). Tyler Wall (19 starts) and Chris Hernberg (14 starts) have both played significant minutes between the pipes. Wall holds a slight edge in goals against average (2.07) and save percentage (.922).

LEKKAS IN CATAMOUNT COUNTRY
Lekkas posted his second and the fifth 1,000 save season in Catamount history last weekend in Hartford. The junior now has 1,012 saves in 2018-19, and is just 10 shy of matching Rob Madore's 2010-11 total of 1,022 saves for fourth most in program history.

Lekkas also passed Hall-of-Famer Joe Fallon '08 for the third most career saves in Vermont history. Lekkas has 2,912 career saves, and only trails Tim Thomas '97 (3,950) and Rob Madore '12 (3,352). The junior netminder became the fifth Catamount goalie to play in 100 career games and has now played in 101 career games.

HOBEYLEKKAS | Vote for Stef
Stefanos Lekkas is one of 83 nominees for the 2019 Hobey Baker Memorial Award fan vote. Voting is open to fans through March 10, with a maximum of one vote allowed per day. Lekkas is second in the NCAA in saves per game (30.7) and total saves (1,012). He ranks fourth in the nation in save percentage (.930).

Lekkas is one of eight goaltenders nominated for the award. Ryan Miller was the last netminder to win college hockey's top individual prize as a sophomore at Michigan State in 2001. Vermont's most recent Hobey Baker finalist was Viktor Stalberg in 2009.

PETRILLO FINDS TWINE
Freshman defenseman
Andrew Petrillo became the seventh Cat this season to record his first career goal. Petrillo wired a point shot home late in the second period last Friday at UConn for his first collegiate point. The junior has an even rating with 11 shots on goal in 17 games played this season.
