HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dartmouth jumped out to an early 6-0 lead as Katie Bourque (3 goals, 1 assist) recorded the early hat trick, but Vermont quickly cut the margin in half. Alex Vignona found an open Elise Koehl in front of the net, who flicked in a quick shot at the 22:20 mark. Two minutes later, UVM forced a turnover and Jenna Janes finished the chance with her 31st goal of the season. The Cats capped off the run by taking advantage of a Big Green penalty when Jenny Caoili scored the woman-up goal.
- Near the midway point of the first half, the Green and Gold whittled Dartmouth's lead to 7-4 on a free position opportunity. Grace Giancola drew a pair of defenders then passed off to Dani Paterno for the easy score.
- Early in the second half, Janes danced off a defender and buried her second goal of the afternoon to stop a scoring run by the Big Green.
- Koehl added the Catamounts' final goal of the day with 10:30 left in the contest.
