BURLINGTON, Vt. - UVM head men's hockey coach
Kevin Sneddon unveiled the team's 2019-20 schedule on Friday afternoon. The Catamounts will play 17 home games this season highlighted by the annual Delta Hotel Burlington TD Bank Catamount Cup December 28-29.

"We are pleased to announce the 2019-2020 schedule," said Sneddon. "We look forward to some great match-ups with several ECAC teams, a trip to Arizona State during Thanksgiving break, and a Catamount Cup field with three former NCAA Champions. The Hockey East schedule will provide our fans with some outstanding hockey, and a great challenge for our team. Our student-athletes are currently at UVM for six weeks training and attending classes. They are extremely motivated for the upcoming season."
- UVM will open the 2019-20 campaign with an exhibition home tilt against Guelph on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7:05 p.m. The Catamounts regular season and Hockey East opener will come 20 days later against Maine. UVM will host the Black Bears on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:05 p.m.
- Boston College will make their first trip to the Gut since 2017 the weekend of November 15-16. The Catamounts will host the Eagles at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
- Vermont will host the annual Delta Hotel Burlington TD Bank Catamount Cup December 28-29. Providence (Hockey East), Union (ECAC) and Lake Superior State (WCHA) will round out the tournament field. UVM will face Union at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Lake Superior State at 7:05 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29.
- The Catamounts will face the 2019 NCAA Runner Up UMass in a two-game series in January. UVM will host the Minutemen at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18.
- Boston University will visit the Gut for a single game on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:05 p.m.
- Vermont will close out the regular season with two home games (Feb. 28-29, 7:05 p.m.) against Northeastern before traveling to Amherst for a single game against UMass on Thursday, Mar. 5.
- The top eight teams in Hockey East will qualify for the Hockey East Tournament. The quarterfinals will be the weekend of March 13 – March 15 with the top four teams in the standings hosting best-of-three series.
