BURLINGTON, Vt. –
Sam Grant has been hired as the Director of Ticket Operations for the University of Vermont Athletic Department. Grant will oversee all aspects of the department's ticketing operations, including sales and management, development of marketing and ticketing campaigns for all sports, and enhancing fan engagement. Grant officially started his new position Monday.

Grant comes to the University of Vermont from Marist College where he was a Ticketing and Marketing Assistant last year. At Marist he helped develop a digital marketing strategy, launched the college's first ever mini-plan ticketing package, and developed print and digital marketing collateral. His efforts helped draw the largest Opening Round NCAA crowd in men's lacrosse history. In addition to his ticketing responsibilities Grant supervised marketing interns tasked with promoting athletic events on- and off-campus. He also prepared game scripts and directed Marist's game day presentation at home football and basketball games.
A native of Easthampton, Mass. Grant graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colby College in Waterville, Maine in 2012. He was a four-year member of the cross country and track & field teams for the Mules. He earned a Master's of Business Administration and Master's of Science in Sport Management degrees from UMass' Isenberg School of Management in 2018. During his time in Amherst, he completed consulting projects with the New York Red Bulls, Octagon, and UMass Athletics. During the summer of 2017, Grant served as a Sales & Service Intern in The Aspire Group's Fan Relationship Management Center at UMass.
