BURLINGTON, Vt. – UVM women's lacrosse head coach
Sarah Dalton Graddock announced the addition of 10 newcomers for the 2020 season on Wednesday. The group of freshmen hail from five different states and includes five All-Americans.

"I am excited to welcome ten new freshmen to our program," Dalton Graddock said. "They come from successful high school programs where they each left their mark both in the classroom and on the field. I look forward to them continuing that trend at UVM as we continue to push our program forward."
Camille Argentieri
Fr. • 5-3 • D • Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill
- Received an invitation to the 2019 New York State Section III Exceptional Senior Lacrosse Game
- Named to the OHSL American First Team as junior and senior plus Honorable Mention honors as a freshman and sophomore
- As a junior, she was selected to the Under Armour Highlight Team for Upstate New York
- Guided Westhill to a Section III Class C league championship as a sophomore
McKenzie Ballard
Fr. • 5-7 • A • Mechanicville, N.Y./Clifton Park
- Holds the school's all-time goals record with 227 career goals, including a 72-goal and 30-assist campaign as a senior
- A two-time All-Section First Team and Scholar-Athlete as a junior and senior
- Landed on the All-Section Second Team as a sophomore
- Honored as an Academic All-American as a senior
Sophia Burke
Fr. • 5-8 • M • Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs
- Registered 173 career points on 90 goals and 83 assists, including a breakout senior year with 31 goals and 25 assists
- Led the Blue Streak to a New York State Section II championship as a junior
- Rewarded as an Academic All-American as a senior
- Served as Saratoga Springs' team captain during her junior and senior seasons
Abbey Gicewicz
Fr. • D • 5-7 • Orchard Park, N.Y./Nichols School
- Won U.S. Lacrosse's prestigious Jackie Pitts Award for Western New York, an award given annually to a graduating senior in each chapter who truly honors the game of lacrosse, is invested in the development of the game in her community, is an exceptional player who continually strives to improve her game, and is an exemplary member of her team.
- Received Buffalo News Coaches' All-Western New York Honorable Mention honors as a senior
- Voted as the team's Most Valuable Player as a freshman and senior
- Earned a total of 12 varsity letters at Nichols and won the school's Alumni Cup as a senior
Erin Kloostra
Fr. • M • 5-8 • Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern
- Owns the state record for career assists and career assists average
- Ranks second in state history in points, points per game, and assists per game
- Two-time All-American following her sophomore and senior seasons
- Was an All-State First Team selection in each of her four years
Jackie Shipp
Fr. • GK • 5-8 • Behesda, Md./Walt Whitman
- Guided Walt Whitman to back-to-back state semifinal game appearances as a junior and senior
- Named Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore
- Lauded with First Team All-Division and Second Team All-County honors as a senior
- Won the team's Sportsmanship and Coaches' Awards following her senior year
Kristiana Strtak
Fr. • M • 5-10 • Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central
- Earned All-America and All-State honors as a junior and senior
- Won an Illinois state championship and named title game Player of the Game as a junior
- In her final two seasons, she totaled 106 goals, 30 assists, and won 22 draw controls
- As a senior, she was voted Attacker of the Year and earned a trip to the state championship game
Lily Trainor

- A four-time Boston Globe All-Star, Tri-Valley All-Star, and Metrowest All-Star
- Is Holliston's all-time leader with 308 points and 204 goals
- Voted Holliston's Rookie of the Year and was a four-time Offensive Most Valuable Player
- Served as team captain during her senior season
Ava Vasile
Fr. • M • 5-7 • Milford, Mass./Medway
- Racked up 323 career points on 237 goals and 86 assists plus she logged 432 draw controls at Medway
- Collected U.S. Lacrosse All-America honors and named a Boston Herald All-Star as a senior
- A two-time Eastern Massachusetts Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association First Team All-Star, Tri-Valley League Most Valuable Player and three-time Metrowest All-Star
- Is Medway's all-time leader in points, goals, and draw controls
Kenzie Vasque
Fr. • M • 5-8 • Amesbury, Mass./Pingree School
- Produced over 200 career goals and led the team in draw controls and caused turnovers as a senior
- Guided Pingree to three Eastern Independent League crowns including a 16-1 overall record as a junior
- Lauded as the Rookie of the Year in 2016 and was a two-time Salem News All-Star
- Voted Pingree's Most Valuable Player in 2017 and served as a team captain in 2019
