"A well-earned and well-deserved promotion for Jess," Dalton said. "In the past three years, Jess has been instrumental in the growth of our program on-and-off the field. She is committed to our players' development while caring about who they are as individuals. Her 'Team First' mentality allows Jess to push our student-athletes beyond their comfort zone while holding them to the highest team standards in pursuit of helping them become the best version of themselves. She is a tireless worker, always finding ways to be a better coach and mentor through networking, film, and course work. I am excited for Jess to receive this promotion and could not have a better friend and colleague on staff."
Drummond has helped move the program forward during her time on the sidelines. In 2019, UVM reached the win column eight times – the most victories in five years. In her three seasons, she has helped to develop eight All-America East performers including recent graduate
Jenna Janes '18 who became the first UVM player to collect America East First Team All-Conference honors since 2015.
The Nashua, New Hampshire native came to Burlington after three seasons as an assistant coach at Dartmouth. With the Big Green, she was the lead defensive coach and was responsible for recruiting. Drummond also organized all team travel and logistics.
She graduated from Oregon in 2012 after a four-year playing career. Drummond left Oregon ranked fourth in program history in career draw controls and fifth in ground balls. During her senior year, she helped the Ducks claim the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament play-in-game as part of the best season in program history.
Following her senior season, she served as an undergraduate assistant coach at Oregon working with the full-time staff on daily tasks associated with practices and game management.
